The Zeppelin University (ZU) follows a pioneering spiritand stands for interdisciplinarity between business, culture and politics.
In a dynamic and complex society, which is struggling in many areas for a reorganization, evade more and more problems of a clear disciplinary location and thinking within borders. Therefore Zeppelin University started the project to create a department bridging business, education and applied research.
"Impact2X": Education with Impact, Pioneering in Entrepreneurship and taking a step further with Applied Research and Analysis.
These are the three units of this newly created department. We offer our partners, companies and stakeholders the opportunity not to think inside or outside settings or boundaries, but to evolve new business fields and models, knowledge-development and to generate value within their companies, employees or the society itself. That’s what “Impact2X” stands for – a product of merging our competencies in education, entrepreneurship and applied research.

Impact Entrepreneurship
The Encouragement of pioneers belongs to the DNA of the ZU.
And that's why there is a lot of space
for the founding ideas of their students.
In our incubator, the PioneerPort, students learn to think entrepreneurially, regardless of their field of study or concept.
Founders get in touch with our coaching program and the highly competent network of alumni, players in the startup scene and experts from the field of entrepreneurship.
In addition, we are an initiator and partner for companies and organizations in the field of intrapreneurship and innovation management. Therefore we pay special attention to the topic of multivariate entrepreneurship.
The PioneerPorts offers the following to students and companies:
| Entrepreneurship & Intrapreneurship projects
| Innovation Management & Startup (Accompaniment & Consulting)
| Formats like hackathons, business model development, summer schools, courses and workshops
Impact Education - Education for
People and Organizations
Apart from Bachelor College and
Graduate School, ZU also runs an
Executive Education for life-long-
learning courses. In the ZU Executive Education, the focus is on effectiveness through further education, or impact education. Real-life projects within a company mesh with personnel and corporate development. ZU Executive Education brings together our program for people who are already in work. The common characteristic of these courses is that they focus less on narrow definition of further education and more on tackling the dynamic, complex, exciting, and stimulating issues of our times.
At the center of everything we do are the participants with their own experiences and questions.

Impact Research
How can new business models be developed and integrated into a saturated market?
How can we manage mobility challenges such as environmental and resource constraints, infrastructure or funding – and how can change be addressed & managed?
These are just two questions out of a broad set of questions, the actors in the mobility and transport segment have to deal with each day – and so does the Team of the Chair for Mobility, Trade and Logistics and the Center for Mobility Studies (CFM) at the Zeppelin University. The renowned research institutions for mobility in Germany under the lead of Prof. Wolfgang H. Schulz analyze and outline the economic, psychological, sociological, and technical aspects of mobility and thus provides the essential impulses for business model innovation.
