On March 25th to 27th, 2018, leaders from some 20 independent and independent-minded universities came together on the campus of Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida, to discuss leadership in higher education. The event was hosted by Prof Grant Cornwell, president of Rollins College, and organised by Sir Anthony Seldon (Buckingham University) and Prof Adam Weinberg (Denison University).
Zeppelin University was represented by Prof Josef Wieland, Vice-President (Research) and Director of the Leadership Excellence Institute Zeppelin | LEIZ, and Dr Lennart Brand, Managing Director of LEIZ. Josef Wieland presented ZU’s innovative ‘Global Studies’ model as a means to actively involve students in global projects encompassing large-scale events and research, and thereby to massively enhance the university’s international outlook.
The G20 network, membership of which is by invitation only, was established in 2017 in Buckingham, UK. Zeppelin University is among its founding members.
