Nicole Witt and Dominik Fischer have completed all courses of the “Baden-Württemberg-Zertifikat für Hochschuldidaktik” and have been awarded the highly-regarded state certificate. The Center for Higher University Didactics Baden-Wuerttemberg was founded by the State Ministry of Science, Research, and Art as well as by selected state universities in 2001. Aiming to improve teaching quality, the center has introduced the “Baden-Wuerttembergische Hochschulzertifikat”. Consisting of three major modules, the certificate acknowledges professional didactics and excellent teaching methods. Starting with “Basics in Teaching at Universities”, the second module, “Advanced Teaching”, aims to improve various teaching methods and skills. The final module focuses on one individualized specialization of each participant. Both LEIZ researchers completed the entire program by attending and completing all three modules as well as completing a comprehensive thesis.
