Prof Lars Hornuf, professor of finance at the University of Bremen, presented his research paper ‘The Impact of Two Different Economic Systems on Dishonesty and Charitable Giving: Determinant of Group-Level Variation’ at a research symposium hosted by the LEIZ Chair of Economic Psychology and Leadership Ethics (Prof Dr Carmen Tanner). Prof Hornuf and his collaborators examine how cheating behavior and charitable giving vary between individuals with a socialist (East German) and a capitalist (West German) upbringing.
