In an age
where the digital realm intertwines with almost every aspect of human life, the
study of digital sociology becomes increasingly important. To tackle important
issues such as increased connectivity, blurring boundaries between the physical
and digital realms, and the complex interplay between technology and society the ISA Digital Sociology Working Group organizes a Midterm Digital Sociology
Conference in September 2024 in Warsaw.
From issues
of digital exclusion and algorithmic bias to concerns surrounding data privacy
and surveillance, the conference aims to foster critical conversations that
shed light on the social, cultural, and political dimensions of technology. Furthermore,
it provides a platform for showcasing innovative research methodologies and
approaches within the field of digital sociology.
Om Monday,
16 th of September, Niklas Ullrich joins the session on AI and
Digital Technology in Society and presents results from his current research on
AI in organizations.
