Especially today, when you may be presenting your
work online and to an audience which includes listeners located anywhere
in the world, the ability to speak effectively to groups in English can
be essential. This workshop examines tools for presenting your topic
(and yourself) impressively in English and provides opportunities to
practice these tools actively. We’ll address both verbal aspects of
presenting (e.g., starting your talk strongly) and non-verbal ones
(e.g., body language). The overall goal is to explore methods and
principles which you can apply to a wide range of presentation
situations and to increase your confidence when delivering a talk in
English – whether face-to-face or online. The workshop is very
interactive and is held in English by a native speaker.
