Conference "Relational View on Economics 2023 - Challenges to a new Paradigm"
Roskilde University and Zeppelin University organized an interdisciplinary conference on Economics – Management – Sociology – Cultural Studies – Law – Philosophy – Political Science.
The academic goal of the conference is to give established scholars, in particular, the opportunity to explore the research field of relational economics. The conference will take place on September 28 and 29, 2023 at Roskilde University and aims to have up to 25 participants.
With the initial conference in 2019 having the title "The Relational View of Economics. A New Research Agenda for the Study of Relational Transactions", the work on the interdisciplinary research program of Relational Economics has gained traction. In 2022 the conference "Cooperating in Value-Creating Networks – A Relational View" took place in Paris as a joint project together with ESSEC.
Relational economics is an interdisciplinary research program which focuses on value creation through long-term intersectoral collaborations among political, business, and civil society players in terms of their productive governance. Economic and social value creation in modern economies is, according to the basic idea, organized in networks of companies, science, civil society, and other stakeholders. These are "regio-global networks" because regional and global cooperation are interconnected and mutually influence each other.
