Karrierewege in die internationale Zusammenarbeit
NATO, UN, EU – numerous actors tackle international security challenges and offer various potential career paths. But how can graduates find their way into these international security organizations? Three professionals in international security will share their experience about career paths into international and European security and defense organizations. Students will have the opportunity to get an overview of different career options, hear personal experiences, and ask specific questions to the speakers.
The speakers cover a wide range of career options and have experience also with entry-level programs. As a Mercator Fellow for International Affairs, ZU alumna Sophie Leonard will share her experience with this specific program and with the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, where she is currently posted. Tania Latici, policy analyst in the European Parliament Research Service and PhD candidate on transatlantic security and defense, will give insights into her current position as well as her experience with the traineeship programs of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the European External Action Service. Jörg Krempel, currently policy officer in the European External Action Service, will complement the debate with his work experience in the EUCAP mission in Mali and Niger as well as on security issues more widely in Brussels.
