International Project Management in Industrial Plant Engineering

Using the example of Zeppelin Systems GmbH:

The project management of industial large-scale projects requires an extensive expert knowledge regarding the various disciplines, management skills and further talents in order to manage this difficult task successfully.
The presentation explains the various challenges of international large-scale projects of the Zeppelin Systems GmbH with those the project management is faced with and which qualifications has to be fulfilled to become a project leader for such projects.
The process will be present from the kick-off meeting of a project, the essential steps of the realization and finally the commissioning and handover to the customer. In each stage of the project there will arise different requirements which have to be solved by the project team. These requirements will be explained. Solutions as well as essential and critical factors of success will presented and discussed.

Projektmanagement bei industriellen Großprojekten verlangt von den Verantwortlichen umfangreiches Fachwissen in unterschiedlichen Disziplinen, Managementfähigkeiten und weitere Talente, um diese komplexe Aufgabe erfolgreich zu meistern.
Der Vortrag erläutert am Beispiel von internationalen Anlagenprojekten von Zeppelin Systems die vielfältigen Herausforderungen mit denen die Projektleitung konfrontiert ist und welche Qualifikationen Projektleiter für diese Aufgaben mitbringen müssen.
Es wird der Ablauf von Anlagenprojekten vom Projektstart, über die wesentlichen Schritte der Realisierung bis zur Übergabe an den Kunden vorgestellt. In jeder Projektphase ergeben sich unterschiedliche Anforderungen an das Projektteam. Die Anforderungen jeder Projektphase werden erläutert. Lösungsansätze sowie die entscheidenden Erfolgsfaktoren werden vorgestellt und besprochen.
