Refugee Health, Dilemmas and Paradoxes. The Case of Syrian Refugees in Lebanon
For almost two years the refugee crisis has been part of our everyday life in Germany. Especially the cases of Syrian refugees have been subject to public debate in German politics and media. Sawsan Abdulrahim is professor for health promotion and community health at the American University Beirut, Lebanon. She’ll deliver insight into the complex challenges that come along with the refugee crisis from a Lebanese perspective and highlight dilemmas and paradoxes related to the protection of Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Also, she will focus on the issue of ensuring health and wellbeing for the refugees.
