Call for Posters: Community in Crisis? Political Identification in Europe

Once regarded as the bastion of peace, unity and progress, the European Union project may be in crisis. Populist and anti-European tendencies disrupt decision-making procedures and expressions of doubts regarding both the fea-sibility and legitimacy of the EU disturb its roadmaps and rationales. At the same time, however, this putative crisis may provoke a pertinent re-exami-nation and reshaping of European institutions and practices. In this context, political identification is, more than ever, a crucial area of research.
To facilitate an interdisciplinary conversation on identification in Europe, a work-shop is held over two days on the shores of Lake Constance at the Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen, Germany. During the workshop, there will also be a student poster session to give the possibility for scientific exchange bet-ween researchers and students.
Therefore, we invite poster contributions from students with different disciplinary perspectives: political sociology, political science, political theory, European studies, social psychology and international relations.
The workshop is free of charge and travel. There is a limited number of travel grants available. Submit a short (maximum 250 words) abstract (not yet the final poster) of your research project to
