Research at Zeppelin University is green, because on the one hand it focuses on academic analyses not done before which have the character of intelligent hypotheses (grassroots) and on the other hand it develops new theoretical approaches for classical and recurring highly-relevant problems of society (evergreens).
At ZU research means “observation on site”– that means in the companies, museums and city halls. The orientation towards the question as basic principle of academic curiosity allows the new drawing of borders between research, consulting and teaching.
Our researchers are committed to multidisciplinary cooperation and cooperate with academic and non-academic research institutions in Germany and abroad. Research is mainly financed with external funds. In addition to research projects financed by the German Research Foundation (DFG) or the European Union, research is also supported by cultural and business foundations as well as industrial and consulting organisations such as Deutsche Telekom AG or BMW AG.
Studying at ZU is research-oriented, i. e. based on the learning of tools: the relevant management and communication tools as well as thinking tools, i. e. as the ability to judge, methodical thinking and subject-specific theoretical knowledge.
