Markus Rhomberg (*1979) is Juniorprofessor for Political Communication at the Department of Communication & Cultural Management at Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen, Germany. From 2009 to 2010 he worked as Visiting Professor at the University of Hamburg, Germany. Rhomberg studied Political Studies, Communication Studies and Sociology at the University of Vienna, Austria, and received his PhD in 2006 with a book on Agenda-Setting and Media Democracy. His current research interests are in the field of public communication on climate change issues and, more generally, in the field of public opinion and political communication. Currently published: “Politische Kommunikation” (2009), “Risk Perceptions and Public Debates on Climate Change: A Conceptualization Based on the Theory of a Functionally-differentiated Society” (2010).
